Apply for a Grant
The MEF Grant Program is our method of distributing the funds we have raised to our schools. MUSD Staff are encouraged to apply for books, technology, equipment and instructional materials that supplement their classroom.
We encourage collaboration between departments and grade levels, as well as with other schools and funding organizations. Applications where efforts have been made to seek supplemental funding such as PTA/PTSA and Site Funds are highly encouraged. Grants are awarded once a year in January.
Grants must be submitted by 4pm on Friday, December 8th, 2023. (subject to change)

Funding Guidelines
Funding decisions by MEF are driven by a desire to enhance student learning. The process is one of collaboration between MEF, the classroom teacher, individual school leadership as well as MUSD. MEF seeks to strategically invest its funding to help the District achieve its educational goals by reviewing site plans as well as state and district funding.
The MEF board works to equitably share it’s resource dollars among all school sites we support. The MEF board maintains responsibility for ensuring that funds are directed appropriately.
