The Run for Education is the signature fundraiser for the Martinez Education Foundation. The race began in 2003 as a 5K race with 200 participants and has grown into a 5K and 10K race that hosted more than 750 in 2019. We are Running to A Million with the goal of reaching $1,000,000 raised from the Run since 2003. All the proceeds from entry fees and sponsorships go to the Martinez Unified School District schools in the form of grants from MEF.

The Martinez Refining Company (MRC) and the Martinez Education Foundation (MEF) are partnering to sponsor the 20th Annual MRC-MEF Run for Education.
Bib and T-Shirt pickup: Participants can pickup their bibs and t-shirts at Road Runner Sports in Concord. Date TBD. All MRC-MEF Run participants will receive a special offer from them!
